Last month, our little man turned ONE! To say that first year flew by is an understatement, in fact I don’t really have words to describe just how fast it went (cue the tears…) But needless to say, we celebrated big for our man & I’m sharing all the details below!
Theme: “Mr. ONE-Deerful”
I feel in love with this theme when I came across this shirt on Etsy — the only problem was, the shirt was ALL I could find on this theme. Nothing on pinterest, nothing else on Etsy. With that said, we had so much fun playing around with the “outdoorsy” decor and making this idea really what we wanted!
Venue: Neighborhood Clubhouse
Decor: All things outdoors, hunting, and DEER. We draped the tables with burlap & set deer antlers on each table surrounding the centerpiece. But I must say my favorite part was the hanging picture banner shown above that recapped Jackson’s first year with us. My MIL made the banner, using burlap for the hanging pieces. I printed off my favorite pictures & simply taped them to the banner — done!
Food: The menu mainly consisted of finger foods & kid friendly foods — PB&J cutouts, veggie cups, sausage balls, fruit skewers. And you must not forget the sweet tea & lemonade! Dessert consisted of cupcakes with the cutest antler cupcake toppers that I found off of Amazon! J of course had his own smash cake…
At the end of the day, I know J will never remember this party — but mommy & daddy & the grandparents sure will! I’ve rounded up some of the decor we used and have shared the details below, enjoy!
