
Three months into the new year and we have all found ourselves quarantined to our houses due to a global pandemic! Who would have thought! The past few weeks have been a whirlwind & an emotional roller coaster. I have been working out of my house full time while also entertaining a two year old at home…needless to say I needed some routine & consistency! Fitness has always been important for me & a way to stay healthy mentally & physically, both of which are crucial during a quarantine! Here is how I have been staying fit while at home…
Pure Barre — if you have followed me for awhile, you know about my love for Pure Barre. I was an instructor for almost 4 years but combined with taking, it has been a part of my life for almost 8 years! Our local studio owner is fantastic and offered live Facebook classes to its members! Many studios across the country are doing this as well so be sure to ask your local studio about the offer. If you are not a member, you can also register for Pure Barre On Demand, an online streaming service for Pure Barre Classes that range from 30 minutes to over an hour! These classes are equally as challenging as the in studio classes!
You-Tube Fitness Videos — these are a great FREE alternative to a gym or streaming membership! I have been incorporating short videos into my weekly routine as a way to switch it up a bit. Here are a few of my favorite searches that I stream from the app onto our TV

— “cardio kick boxing workouts at home”
— “30 min yoga at home”
— “at home meditation”
Get Outside! — If the weather permits, get outside for a walk around your neighborhood or set a goal to start running again! Find a great playlist, turn your phone on airplane mode so there are no distractions, and just GO! Fresh air & Vitamin D will do wonders for your mood!
